The award winning Mary King’s Ghost Fest will be back in 2010 at a new time of the year! As always the festival will be packed year with a programme of events will kept the most avid of ghost hunters and the most serious of sceptics entertained for hours….perhaps the darker nights of March will draw out more of Edinburgh’s spooky residents? Every year the festival offers a wide range of exciting events which allow people the opportunity to explore and examine under supervision the truly ‘haunted’ nature of extraordinary Edinburgh.
This year highlights include medium Chris Conway (from Living TV’s Most Haunted) visit The Real Mary King’s Close for the first time, a Scottish first as Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe and Steve Parsons bring their ‘So You Want To Be A Ghost Hunter’ workshop north of the border and many new and favourite locations open their doors for overnight vigils – Blair Street Vaults, Damnation Alley, the Dalmahoy Hotel and Scotch Malt Whisky Society vaults are just a few of the highlights!
As always, you can also take a break from investigating and hear stories of Edinburgh’s mysterious past at fascinating locations such as Newhailes and Lauriston Castle, watch some classic spooky movies at The Scotsman Hotel or find out what the future could hold from a medium at the Psychic Fair or Edinburgh College of Parapsychology. New for 2010, you can take a walk on the darker side of Edinburgh’s history with the Burke and Hare Murder Tour or the Ultimate Supernatural Tour.
